LSLA employs a team of 12 employees dedicated to the recruitment, training, appreciation, and retention of private attorneys to assist our eligible clients on a pro bono basis. LSLA’s Pro Bono Team includes a directing attorney who has been with the firm for 25 years, 3 attorneys who serve as pro bono litigation coordinators, 3 staff attorneys, and 4 support personnel. The attorneys collectively have nearly 100 years of legal experience. Cases throughout LSLA that cannot be fully served by LSLA's specialty units or branch offices may be considered by LSLA's Pro Bono Office for placement with a private pro bono attorney. After a case is placed with a pro bono attorney, LSLA monitors the matter until completion, assisting both the attorney and the client as needed to assure a positive experience for all. LSLA's Pro Bono Office also coordinates volunteers who want to help in our various offices and units.
