Tarrant County Volunteer Attorney Services (TVAS) is a community service committee under the Tarrant County Bar Foundation. TVAS' objectives are: to serve the Tarrant County community by connecting Tarrant County attorneys with those who could not otherwise afford representation; to encourage participation from our legal community in pro bono legal services; and to create a program that recognizes individual attorneys, law firms, and corporations in Tarrant County for their commitment to pro bono legal represetation.
The purpose of our volunteer program is to provide support to client services, provide outreach and education, plan, support, and execute fundraising efforts and assist in the daily operation of the office. The volunteers of LHT work independently as a part of the team to assure the vision statement holds true: To build a community in which people, regardless of health or economic status, have access to justice.
The goal of the Multicultural Legal Services Program is to provide legal services in the areas of immigration and family law to immigrant and refugee victims of domestic violence and human trafficking. We are the only agency in North Texas providing free, comprehensive legal representation in both family law and immigration.
