Texas RioGrande Legal Aid (TRLA) is a non-profit organization that provides free legal services to low-income residents in sixty-eight counties of Southwest Texas, and represents migrant and seasonal farm workers throughout the state of Texas and six southern states: Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and Arkansas. In addition, TRLA operates public defender programs in several Southwest Texas counties, representing the poor who are accused of felonies, misdemeanors and juvenile crimes.

Disability Rights Texas (DRTx) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to protect and advance the legal, human, and civil rights of people with disabilities living in Texas. DRTx was established in 1977 by the United States Congress as Texas’ federally designated legal protection and advocacy agency (P&A). We protect and advocate for the legal and human rights of people with disabilities, a majority of whom are poor.

RAICES has opportunites for interested attorneys to be matched with clients in need of representation in their immigration matters, providing sample filings and mentorship throughout all cases. We also have opportunities to get involved in advocacy issues surrounding immigration reform and detention policies.
